Huge increase in orders
At the time a Dutch company working in the sports industry reached out to us, it had already been one of the largest aluminium fabrication companies and suppliers of aluminium products, devices and football pitch equipment. The post-pandemic “thaw” and return to reality caused a huge increase in the number of orders and, as a result, the problem of lack of production capacity arose. The management decided to outsource a certain group of products and find support in a company from Central and Eastern Europe, which thanks to its business profile and machinery park capabilities would be able to take on the task.
Situation analysis
Our cooperation began with a visit to the company’s headquarters in the Netherlands and a presentation of previously prepared samples to allow the client to assess the quality of our work. Due to the very specific – dedicated, even – type of materials used in the production of the client’s product range, together we agreed that production would be based on materials supplied by the client.
Solving the problem
After the initial arrangements had been done, the following steps were taken:
– Making calculations and estimating the final prices of production services for individual products.
– Selecting and choosing products that would meet our and the client’s expectations.
– Determining logistical quantities and volumes for orders.
– Establishing a schedule for the delivery of production materials to us, and finished goods to the client’s warehouse.
– Starting production.
– Visiting the client again to check on and discuss the production process.
Completing a handful of orders for this client allowed the company to meet its commitments to its clients in a timely manner and to focus on producing the rest of its equally important product line.
Everything from the initial contact, through a series of arrangements, to the start of production took about four weeks.
This is very important, given the fact that for such clients, time and speed of response are crucial, as the volume of orders is determined by the seasons.
